With just a week to go before the first test of the 2012 pre-season, it is expected that a few last minute deals will be put in place, however Midnight Motorsport caught the paddock by surprise when they announced a range of high level sponsorship deals, personnel acquisitions and supplier contracts which should see them leapfrog a number of favorites for the upcoming season.

Despite the cold, winter-like conditions, newly formed team Velocity Racing went ahead with their launch at the newly created team base in Oxfordshire, England. Team boss Ben Warren opened proceedings with a brief statement about the team and their expectations for the inaugural Formula Challenge season at GPVWC.
