Sparshot racing was thrown into turmoil today when team manager Nick Douglas resigned from his post.

Douglas was furious when he found out that new recruit Samuel Manier had failed to set a qualifying time for the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest. This news came less than a week after previous driver Peter Kent quit the team.

Nick Douglas did not make an official comment but is thought to be extremely unhappy with Manier. Dan Lawrence - Sparshot lead driver - commented:

"I am feeling a bit lost at the moment. I am failing as a driver and i am still trying hard - but Nick quit at the second race and Peter Kent quit after just 1 race!! I can't understand it!"

Lawrence also looked at the possible future implications of this developments:

"There is a possibility to revive this team by quitting as a driver and buying the team myself - I know there are plenty of standby drivers, so this should not be a problem... it is just an idea at the moment."

Douglas has also said that the Sparshot team name must be withdrawn from this Championship, therefore ending the short story of the outfit in the GPVWC.

The only Sparshot car in Hungary qualified in 16th position thanks to Dan Lawrence's efforts.
