Mondello Park doesn't hold the record for the fastest track in the 2009 calendar, nor probably that for the easiest place to overtake. However, plenty of Teams look forward to the first ever Irish Grand Prix for the chance to test on track a new set of aerodynamic profiles that the (mostly European-based) team headquarters have been producing at an impressive rhythm in the last few weeks.

Of the 12 teams in the league, 5 are rumoured to be bringing the new pieces to Mondello Park - including three "potential race winners", according to an anonymous source. And while all sources concur tomorrow's race could see some interesting results, no one is yet able to tell just how much the improvements brought by some of the teams will impact laptimes.

With the great unknown of the improved performances and other major improvements (such as a mysterious "low-res" livery paint applied on Janne Tanskanen's car) being fielded in Mondello Park, there are all the ingredients for an exciting and action-packed 2009 GPVWC Superleague Irish Grand Prix.

At this hour tomorrow, we might be celebrating a whole new set of heroes.
