Superleague team Synergetic Motorsport has completed the signing of rookie Liam Hatchell, who will sit in the car in Thursday's Mugello test.

Hatchell, from England, will replace departed Philip Cullen in the Northern Irish team, whose Team Manager Mal McKee still appears missing. A driver that showed great promise in other series, Hatchell is expected to make an immediate impact on the Superleague.

Caretaker Ryan McConkey commented the news with joy, stating how a driver of Liam's stature will surely bring benefit to a team which has shown a good potential in the first races of the season. McConkey added "I am overwhelmed by the news of the signing of Liam - a superb addition to our team and the community."

Liam Hatchell is just the latest signing for Synergetic - the Belfast-based team putting pen to paper also for Welshman Martin Wright, in what is rumoured to be a possible rotation driver position.
