The qualifying session at the unfavoured Interlagos track was very competitive with most drivers within 2 seconds of each other.
Kris Pusaka was the exception as he powered his Red Arrows Ferrari to pole in style, while BA Racing and Britten performed the best from the teams point of view. Team HawkEyE was unable to qualify despite having 2 very good cars with nobody to put in them.
