The 2012 Supercup Hungarian Grand Prix - the 4th race of the season - took place on the Hungaroring in Hungary on the 18th of April.

Qualifying

Jamez Shepherd took a suprising pole in his debut race in the supercup. We was able to set a faster time than Torrent Motorsports driver Rickard Hellsten who was able to drive his car to a 2nd time. Alex Cooper missed the second time with only 0.061, showing how competetive the supercup is. Petter Kaasa had a slightly dissapointed qualify and couldn't go faster than a 4th time. David Fidock took the 5th spot, and Philip Cullen would start beside him on the 6th place on the grid. Andrew Morgan placed his car on the on the 7th place, just on front of Malteese driver Jason Muscat. Adam Rouse took the 9th place on the grid, and Terence Grech took the 10th place on the grid. Martin O'Connor had a suprisingly good start and was able to take the 11th spot on the grid, in front of William Tringas, who also had a suprisingly good qualify run. Lativan driver Andrejs Pestovs took the 13th place on the grid, and Dutchmen Roy Schroten took the 14th place. Ben Warren took the 15th place in his come-back race after his surgery. Boyd Bryson took 16th place and Matt Varley qualified as 17th in his debut race. Lewis Redshaw took the 18th spot and Ric Scott went to 19th place. Alex Rolls took the 20th place, and Teemu Toikka and Martin Bulgin took the 11th row. Gavin Thomas took the 23th place, in front of the experienced driver Chris Williamson. Dutchman Wopke Hoekstra had a dissapointing qualify and couldn't come further than a 25th place on the grid with [Christoph Lichtenstein]] on the 26th place. The last place was for Dan Rusu, for who it was the first supercup race of this season.


Penalty

Jamez Shepherd lost his pole after the RaceDirectors found out that he had cutted on hi fastest laps. His two fastest times were called unfair and he had to go back to the 4th place on the grid.
