Aquarius Motorsports is an Irish sim-racing team which is currently inactive in the GPVWC. The team had previously entered the Masters Series in 2009. The team was owned and managed by Philip Cullen.

Masters Series

2009

The team was formed in the summer of 2009 with the intention of competing in the inaugural Masters Series. Having missed the first round of the series at Laguna Seca, Aquarius Motorsports would compete in its first and so far only event at Monza. It was a competitive showing for the Irish team with fourth place in the feature race and a seventh place in the sprint.

After the Monza race, Philip would engage in talks with MMC Racing owner, Ryan McConkey. The pair had become friendly during their stint as team-mates for Synergetic Motorsports in the Superleague. MMC were interested in expanding to a three-car team to compete with Constant Racing for the teams title.

The end result of the talks would see Aquarius merge its one-car team with MMC. The new partnership would led to a formidable line-up for the team which would go on on dominate the driver and teams championship.

The Future

Currently, Cullen has no plans to revive Aquarius Motorsports despite his recent return to the GPVWC. He remains open to the teams future and is quoted as saying that it could return "when the time and more importantly, the conditions, are right."
