Florian Geier is a German Sim-Racing Driver currently driving for Nordsjøen Racing in the GPVWC 2015 Superleague season.

Flo previously has driven for CSG Racing as test/reserve driver, for SimCraft Racing, PB Racing in Supercup and for SimInk Motorsport in Formula Challenge .

Early Sim-Racing Career

Before joining GPVWC, Florian was and is driving at OGL Simracing. He was active in that league from March 2010-2013.

During August of 2013 Florian decided to join GPVWC.

Formula Challenge

2013

Florian made his debut at the French Grand Prix in Magny Cours. Flo qualified 6th just 0.4 behind the Pole. The 1st Race itself didn't go to plan though, as the Launch Control failed and Flo slipped down into the midfield. He still recovered well to finish a solid 18th. Race 2 saw Flo charging through the field to finish on the podium in only his 2nd race.

The Nürburgring was Flo's second Race and at the same time his home Grand Prix, saw Flo having a nightmare event. Again qualifying in 6th place again Launch Control did not do its job which meant that he slipped down to the midfield once again. A fight back from nearly last saw him finish P21. The 2nd race saw Flo having to make another early pit stop due to damage but still he finished P12 just 36 seconds off the winner.

The 3rd event Flo took part in was the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis. Flo qualified a career best P4 and started P3 after penalties for drivers ahead were applied. After a race long battle with Adrian McNaughton Flo finished P6. In the 2nd race, Flo managed his way through the field, finishing an excellent P4.

The next event took place at Abu Dhabi and saw Flo moving to Simink Motorsport, the Championship leaders at the current time. Flo qualified in P4 in a last second effort after having trouble during Qualifying.

Race 1 saw Flo benefiting from the mistakes of guys like Tapper & De Vries and Gaczella and Kantonen and was in 2nd place. Fighting hard with Emanuell and Oskari for most of the race, Flo finished P3 which was the 2nd podium for him in GPVWC.

2nd Race saw Flo have problems overtaking as he chose a high downforce package. Eventually he still finished P5 and even posting fastest lap before David Fidock took it away 2 laps from the end.

The penultimate event of the season brought us to Suzuka where Flo started P4 and after problems from others, Flo won his first Grand Prix. The 2nd Race didnt go that well as Flo was stuck in a 4 way battle all race long and only finished in P9. Simink also managed to win the Constructors Title due to Storm Racing Team scored no points in both races.

Simink managed a 1-2 in qualifying but in Race 1 the team only managed 2nd and 3rd place finishes. In the 2nd Race after a massive crash at the start Flo had a lot of damage and finished the race in a very sad last place.

Flo finished the Season in P12 scoring 118 Points and helping Simink to win the Constructors Title.

Supercup

2013

Flo managed to get a final drive in the last race of the season at PB Racing and scoring the teams best result after getting a damaged rear and an early lap 1 pit stop. Flo finished 5th on his debut in Supercup.

2014

Flo secured a seat at SimCraft Racing for the 2014 Supercup Championship.

Pre season started well with a 2nd place at the Istanbul Park test session. The 1st Race of the Season took place at Melbourne where Flo qualified in a disappointing 10th place and only went on to finish P14 twice after colliding twice.

Next was the Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang where the qualifying was even worse with P13. P5 in R1 though meant an improvement from Australia. In R2 Flo finished P8.

Bahrain was the next stop on the calendar which again saw no real improvement in qualifying with another disappointing P10. Race 1 saw an early crash and DNF after a collision with Tom Parker. Race 2 brought improvements as Flo set 4th fastest lap but mistakes throughout the race meant another poor finish with P15.

Flo`s first Pole Position in Supercup at Shanghai.
Flo battling Oskari during the Chinese Grand Prix .

China saw Flo taking his first Supercup Pole Position with a much improved car after struggling for the first few rounds. Race 1 Flo finished P4 12 seconds off the lead after having to pit 1 more time than his opponents. Race 2 saw Flo having a great battle with Oskari Kantonen and finishing P2.

Flo pipping Philipp by just 0.001.

The European season kicked off at Spain where Flo qualified a strong P3, just 0.042 off Pole. Due to high tyre wear Flo again had to pit once more than his opponents but despite this, he finished P4 just 3 secs off the winner.

Race 2 was a disaster. After suffering damage in the opening laps Flo had to pit late in the Race which meant only P13.

Flo crashing at T1.

Next up was the crown jewel of SC the Monte Carlo Grand Prix.

Flo qualified an excellent P3 0.190 off pole sitter Oskari Kantonen. Having a good start for once, Flo locked up into T1 and crashed into the barriers.

Flo Winning his first SC Race.

Not giving up though, Flo fought his way back through the field with a great recovery drive back to P9.

Race 2 saw Flo getting some luck his way with the reserve grid pole. From there on, Flo led every lap on his way to his first Supercup race win.

The next round took place at one of his favourite tracks in Montreal, Canada. The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was meant to kick start his fightback but it all came different and Flo only qualified P9.

With tyre wear very low, Flo managed to stay out longer than everyone else, but still only finished P7 after getting overtaken on the last corner of the last lap. Race 2 saw Flo going strong early on, but eventually again getting overtaken on the last corner of the last lap meant only P4.

Flo getting punted off the track.

At the Austrian Grand Prix, Flo qualified P5. Again low tyre wear bought Flo crucial time against his opponents, nearly beating race winning

Kevin Siggy. Race 2 was another blow and or low point of the season as another crash meant no points while main rivals finished up front.

Silverstone was our next stop and what a event it was once again. Great racing through the field. Flo managed to qualify 3rd just behind teammate Tom Parker. Flo lost places during the start and later in a incident with Emanuel Gaczella. Flo still recovered to P3, overtaking teammate Tom on the last corner of the last lap.

Race 2 on the other side was a huge disappointment once again. A bad start meant being right in the pack and eventual damage caused by an incident with Jason Muscat. This led to Flo retiring once again after having showed great pace.

Next up was the German Grand Prix and Flo took pole in front of the home crowd. Although he couldn't convert this into the win, he got the 3rd spot on the podium after a long battle with Kevin Siggy. The Sprint Race saw Flo making superb overtaking maneuvers, only to lose 2 places in the closing stages and eventually finish in P6.

The Hungarian Grand Prix was the last race before the summer break. Flo qualified 5th and managed to finish P2 in both Feature and Sprint Race.

With the summer break over, Spa was on the horizon and Flo led in qualifying until a crash on a drying track meant he could not improve and luckily got P13. This shouldn't be a unlucky number that night though, as Flo finished Race 1 P3 after a bump by Sven de Vries on the last lap costing him P2. Still lots of overtaking showed the pace that the car had that day.

Race 2 was just the same with lots of good overtaking going on. One even similar to Häkkinen-Zonza-Schumi although not at the end of Kemmel straight but rather at the beginning. Another P2 meant a 4th consecutive Podium. Next up was Monza and Flo qualified P3. He finished Race 1 in P3 as well. Race 2 was a bit of a disappointment with P11 but still good points.

Flo havin a great view after begin Spun by Emanuel Gaczella.

Now we headed to the USA`s Circuit of the Americas. Flo looked to get pole but Jarl Teien grabbed pole in the closing stages and Flo was starting P2 alongside him. After an early crash out of T1 on Lap 1, Flo had to storm through the field still finishing an impressive P2. The Sprint Race had mixed conditions and Flo had no confidence so P5 was the best possible result.

Flo side by side with Teammate Tom Parker during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Abu Dhabi was our next station. Flo qualified P2 again behind Jarl and in front of teammate Tom Parker. A race long battle saw Flo finish P3 just behind Jarl and race winner Tom Parker. Race 2 saw Flo having a huge crash involving several other cars.

Suzuka saw Flo twice finish in P2 after very eventful races.

We headed to Interlagos, the final event of the year, with very slim hopes of claiming the Constructors Title. Flo qualified a disappointing P6, while teammate Tom Parker qualified on pole with a superb lap. After a hard fought early stage of the race, Flo got up to P4 but got taken out by Petar Brljak who had spun and rejoined the track unsafely. This meant only a 12th place finish while Tom finished P3. Race 2 saw both Edonis cars having incidents and at the back of the field while the Simcraft cars ran in P1-P3. But after an aggressive move by David Francic, Flo got taken out and retired the lap after meaning Simcraft lost any chances of making a miracle happen. We still finished P2 with a terrific fightback after early season struggles.

Flo finished P4 in the Championship with 376 points, 14 podiums, 2 poles at China and Hockenheim and 1 race win at Monaco.
