The deal was made early. During the 2014 season, Menno Klont could'nt race in Canada, Jason Muscat asked Jonathan if he could race in Canada in order to prepare for the Silverstone races. Jonathan raced and scored beyond belief, he got P6 in race 1, and even a podium P3 in race 2, he showed great pace and if there was any doubt he needed time to adapt it was now proven that Jonathan was a talent for the future

Driver Overview

Jonathan Holmes is an English sim-racing driver who is driving for Crossfire Competition in the 2019 Formula Challenge Season.

Jonathan joined the GPVWC in early 2014 and managed to secure himself a drive for Tanskanen Racing as a driver in the 2014 Formula Challenge season. After many successful results Jonathan was offered a drive in the 2015 Supercup season for Twitch Enterprise GP. However, the season didn't go to plan with a change of team-mates and a lack of good race results.

In 2016, Jonathan dropped back to Formula Challenge alongside his childhood friend Sam Jones, claiming a seat for Arrow International Racing. A fun season saw Jonathan claim multiple podiums, until unexpected issues arose and Jonathan had to miss the last four rounds of the season.

Jonathan missed the 2017 and 2018 seasons due to his commitments within the esports WRC. These clearly paid off as Jonathan qualified for the Grand Finals twice, claiming a respected 2nd and 4th in the world! However Jonathan wasn't fully out of the GPVWC as an early retirement meant that Jonathan was asked to drive for Edonis Engineering for the last four rounds of the 2018 Superleague season.

Jonathan has returned for the 2019 Formula Challenge season, and will be racing alongside Menno Klont for Crossfire Competition. Menno and Jonathan are well known to each other and have been friends ever since Jonathan started within the GPVWC.

Supercup

During his Formula Challenge season, his results were seen by alot of teammanagers, not only teammanagers in the Formula Challenge but also in the 2014 Supercup season saw his mature driving and good consistent scoring. not long after the Bahrain Grand Prix the team of Edonis Engineering ask him to fill up Oskari Kantonen seat for the Silverstone rounds because Oskari Kantonen could'nt drive on that date.
