Driver Overview
 +
Jonathan Holmes is an English sim-racing driver currently living in Guernsey.  He is driving for AB Racing in the 2019 Formula Challenge Season.

 +
Jonathan joined the GPVWC in early 2014 and managed to secure himself a drive for Tanskanen Racing as a driver in the 2014 Formula Challenge season. After many successful results Jonathan was offered a drive in the 2015 Supercup season for Twitch Enterprise GP.  However, the season didn't go to plan with a change of team-mates and a lack of good race results.

Early Sim-Racing Career
+
In 2016, Jonathan dropped back to Formula Challenge alongside his childhood friend Sam Jones, claiming a seat for Arrow International Racing.  A fun season saw Jonathan claim multiple podiums, until unexpected issues arose and Jonathan had to miss the last four rounds of the season.
Before joining GPVWC, Petar raced in some other leagues.
+

Just after the beginning of the 2014 GPVWC careerladder season Petar decided to join GPVWC. He would join Aurora Motorsports for the Malaysian Rounds in the Formula Challenge.
+
Jonathan missed the 2017 and 2018 seasons due to his commitments within the esports WRC. These clearly paid off as Jonathan qualified for the Grand Finals twice, claiming a respected 2nd and 4th in the world!  However Jonathan wasn't fully out of the GPVWC as an early retirement meant that Jonathan was asked to drive for Edonis Engineering for the last four rounds of the 2018 Superleague season.
after one raceweekend he signed another deal at Walk Racing this deal was for the rest of the season.
+

Formula Challenge
+
Jonathan has returned for the 2019 Formula Challenge season, and will be racing alongside Menno Klont for AB Racing.  Menno and Jonathan are well known to each other and have been friends ever since Jonathan started within the GPVWC.

2014
Petar made his debut at GPVWC in Formula Challenge at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
+
2014
Already before the races Petar was one of the favorites to win one of the races, Petar's time in the Hotlaptracker was very quick, Everybody knew Petar was a guy which had great talent.
+

At the Qualifying of the Malaysian Grand Prix Petar did what was he expected to do, he did put the Aurora Motorsports on pole.
+
Formula Challenge
In the first Formula Challenge race Petar had a great fight with Jonathan Holmes and in the end he just beat him with + 0.268 Petar took the victory at his debut race.
+
At the second Formula Challenge race Petar was unfortunatly involved in a collision forcing him to retire. Petar learned one thing, If he wanted to win the Formula Challenge championship, he should score point in every race he started.
+

For the Bahrain rounds of the FC championship Petar moved to Walk Racing an Romanian Based team. He claimed the Pole again, winning again the first race of the evening, while he finished in 3rd place at the second race.
+
Jonathan made his debut at GPVWC in Formula Challenge races at the Australian Grand Prix. Jonathan did an excellent job by Qualifying on the frontrow in 2nd position (behind)Petar Brljak he also finished in 2nd position in the first race at Melbourne, in the second race he had problems and finshed outside the top 15.

After those races Petar continued to race in the Formula Challenge, scoring points/podium/wins in almost every race he drove. as of July 2014 Petar is leading the Championship and the question now is, who will stop him?
+

Supercup
 +
During his Formula Challenge season, his results were seen by alot of teammanagers, not only teammanagers in the Formula Challenge but also in the 2014 Supercup season saw his mature driving and good consistent scoring. not long after the Bahrain Grand Prix the team of Edonis Engineering ask him to fill up Oskari Kantonen seat for the Silverstone rounds because Oskari Kantonen could'nt drive on that date. The deal was made early. During the 2014 season, Menno Klont could'nt race in Canada, Jason Muscat asked Jonathan if he could race in Canada in order to prepare for the Silverstone races. Jonathan raced and scored beyond belief, he got P6 in race 1, and even a podium P3 in race 2, he showed great pace and if there was any doubt he needed time to adapt it was now proven that Jonathan was a talent for the future

The season finished with an intense battle between Holmes and Sandeep Singh.  With only 18 points different with the final race of the season, one mistake would have been costly for either driver.  Luckily for Holmes, he was able to keep a solid third position and even though Sandeep Singh won the race, he finished 8 points behind Holmes who claimed the 2019 Formula Challenge season Championship.

Jonathan Holmes is an English sim-racing driver currently living in Guernsey. He is driving for AB Racing in the 2019 Formula Challenge Season.

Jonathan has returned for the 2019 Formula Challenge season, and will be racing alongside Menno Klont for AB Racing. Menno and Jonathan are well known to each other and have been friends ever since Jonathan started within the GPVWC.

2014

Formula Challenge

Jonathan made his debut at GPVWC in Formula Challenge races at the Australian Grand Prix. Jonathan did an excellent job by Qualifying on the frontrow in 2nd position (behind)Petar Brljak he also finished in 2nd position in the first race at Melbourne, in the second race he had problems and finshed outside the top 15.

The rest of the season he did perform consistently as of July 2014 Jonathan scored 9 podium places which include 1 win at the Hungaroring

Supercup

2016

Formula Challenge

Jonathan joined Arrow International Racing for the 2016 Formula Challenge season. He partnered team manager Sam Jones. Jonathan had a fun season with some tight battles but was slightly edged out by rivals James Johnson and Stephane Roualt. For the first season of GPVWC on rFactor 2, Jonathan managed to claim 3rd in the overall drivers championship.

This was a great result for the Arrow International Racing team.

2019

Formula Challenge

Jonathan will be returning to the GPVWC Formula Challenge grid for 2019, as he takes a seat at the newly created team - AB Racing. Jonathan will be racing alongside Menno Klont, and will be watched by an eager team manager, David Carter.

Only time will tell, but Jonathan will be aiming to bring home some good results for the team.
