The Long Beach Grand Prix was planned to be the inaugural event in the GPVWC Atlantic Series. The 2015 season opener was initially going to take place on the Streets of Long Beach. However, the event was ultimately replaced by the Grand Prix of Alabama due to problems bringing the Long Beach track up to GPVWC standards.
