Mikko Jakonen is a Finnish driver in the GPVWC and is a double Superleague World Drivers' Champion, winning in 2002 and 2004, each time for the Mapes-VO team. After retiring at the end of 2005, Jakonen returned to the GPVWC with the Tanskanen team in Formula Challenge for the start of the 2013 season. Jakonen scored points, twice on his return to GPVWC.
