Red 5 Racing gained entry into the Superleague and Supercup Competitions. However, Wayne Mullins and Gavin Thomas had a disagreement on the viability of the 2010 Toyota chassis,Renault Powered entrant and withdrew the team from the competition, having only completed pre-season testing.

Red 5 Racing completed the buy-out of Computrac Motorsports. This ironically has meant that Red 5 replace the original team that replaced them in 2010.([Yellowbirds GP]).
