Royal Blue Racing is an English GPVWC constructor owned by Matthew Clipp .

Royal Blue Racing was founded in early 2012 and secured entry into the GPVWC 2012 World Sports Series and finished 4th in the constructors championship scoring 98 points. Polish driver Marek Skrajnowski scored 66 points and finished 5th in the drivers championship. Danish driver Morten Wernersen scored 32 points and finished 13th.

The team returned for the GPVWC 2013 World Sport Series. Morten Wernersen made three appearnaces and scored 27 points. Team owner Matthew Clipp made four appearances and scored 25 points. Paul Joseph competed in seven of the ten rounds, scored 74 points and finished 9th in the drivers championship. There was also a one of appearance from Erik Gelotte who scored 3 points and two appearances from Mike Bell who scored 14 points. The team finished 8th in the teams championship scoring a total of 140 points.

The team secured its first entry into the GPVWC career ladder taking part in the 2013 Formula Challenge series. The drivers were team owner Matthew Clipp and newcomer Paul Joseph . The team had an outstanding debut season and finished in 5th position in the teams championship scoring 358 points. The team declined promotion to the Supercup for the following season to have a second attempt at winning the Formula Challenge title.

In 2014 they continued their great form from the previous year, however, all of Matthew Clipp early season points were taken away after he had technical difficulties. Unable to solve the issues and disillusioned with the league, team driver and owner Matthew Clipp stepped down from racing and the teams form suffered heavily. A few rounds later Paul Joseph stepped away from racing aswell. Two new drivers Florian Engel and Benediktas Sinkevicius filled the seats for the rest of the campaign. The team withdrew from the career ladder and Matthew Clipp would not be seen in racing for nearly 3 years.

After a few years away and some unfinished business Matthew Clipp returned and secured re-entry into the GPVWC Formula Challenge season for 2017. The season began with Matthew Clipp returning as a driver and this time being partnered with Dave van Gils . The beginning of the season was tough with Matthew being uncompetitive due to being out of racing for so long. Things got worse when Dave stopped racing after only 3 rounds. Struggling to fill the second seat didn't help the teams position. A couple of appearances from Noah Kutra and Fabian Rudde only gained the team a handful points. It wasnt until the midway point that Matthew found some competitiveness and went on a tremendous run scoring points for 16 races in a row, single handedly dragging the team off the bottom and into the midfield pack. Matthew Clipp scored 158 of the teams 176 points and the team finished 12th in the teams championship.

The 2018 season saw a much more professional look to the team. The teams logo and car design saw a big change, the team secured sponsorship from the popular YouTube channel ChainBearF1 and for the first time Matthew Clipp took a back step and hired two drivers to lead the team to Formula Challange glory. The teams first signing for 2018 was the young Madagascan driver Thomas Andriamiharisoa . And the second signing was Englishman James Early . Tomi Ylitalo was hired as the teams reserve driver. 2018 turned out to be the teams most successful campaign in their GPVWC history with Thomas Andriamiharisoa scoring 169 points taking him to 5th in the drivers championship. James Early scored 154 points finishing 8th in the championship and reserve driver Tomi Ylitalo scored 55 points in 5 appearances. This meant the team finished with a team record of 378 points and secured 4th in the teams championship.

Royal Blue racing secured promotion and will compete in the first ever GPVWC Superleague 2 season.
