Name

Should this be renamed as 2009 Republic of Ireland Grand Prix? In the (albeit unlikely) event that we have a grand prix on a circuit in Northern Ireland, given that we use the regions for drivers already, shouldn't we call it the 20xx Northern Irish Grand Prix?

Further to that, shouldn't we call the GPs at Silverstone, the English Grands Prix, and any in Scotland or Wales as Scottish or Welsh? --Mal mckee 13:42, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Bit of wishful thinking there I reckon Mal! :P I can see where you are coming from - but when you look at Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales - there are no way in the a sane mind where the Superleague should go there. At all. Heck, as homely feeling as it was, they should never have gone to Mondello! Of course, not disputing the availability of tracks in these countries.. but at best your looking at lower tier series taking part there as opposed to 'Grand Prix's' --Philip Cullen
You're probably right, Phil! Poor neglected us! lol But you never know - with some different kinds of tracks being used in our other series and in test sessions, you never know where we might end up.
Isle of Man anyone..? lol --Mal mckee 19:21, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
Considering we have national adjectives used for all other Grand Prix, surely it would be Irish Grand Prix and Northern Irish Grand Prix in such a case, right? Chris williamson 19:30, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
