Following the success of the World Sport Series and a positive response from discussions about holding a GT-based series, it has been decided that this style of racing will form the basis of a new winter series. It is hoped that this will allow the league to further evaluate whether or not this format has the potential to be turned into one of the regular series for the 2013 season.
