Tom van der Voort is an Dutch sim-racer who currently drives for Nijo Racing in the GPVWC Superleague. It will be his first full season of GPVWC competition.

Early Sim-Racing Career

Before joining GPVWC, Tom has been active in a few other leagues. After driving several race games offline for years, Tom took up online sim-racing with rFactor and joined the French WCP league back in 2007. It was mostly a time of learning during his first season. The small league made this possible and Tom soon started to gather some points. After spending two seasons there, earning him one victory and a few podium finishes, Tom switched to the Dutch based ERL league in 2009, which later changed its name to WCS. The four years spent there earned him a total of 9 victories, 41 podium finishes, 4 pole positions, 4 fastest laps and 1 World Drivers Championship. Up for a new challenge, Tom joined his friend Ruud Heesterbeek and Nijo Racing to aid in their 2013 campaign.
