Superleague |
The 2006 Superleague season was the seventh GPVWC Superleague season. It used Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4 and saved qualifying and race files were submitted to the league for checking and classification.
Contents
Format
The qualifying, race and in-season testing sessions were all driven off-line and the saved game files were then submitted to the GPVWC for validation and classification in accordance with set deadlines. Saving the game at any point (for the session to be continued) was unrestricted.
The top eight finishers scored points in the race.

New entries
At the start of the 2006 there was only one change in the teams lineup from the previous season, which was the promotion of the Vod:Bul team to the top flight as a replacement for the outgoing Phoenix F1 team.
Team changes
2006 proved to be the end of the road for the once mighty Mapes-VO team who were replaced mid-season by Mal McKee's Synergetic F1 team. The other midseason casualty was Puma F1 with their spot eventually being filled by the Argentinian Krystal Oxide Team for the final 5 races.
