Roy Schroten mad his Superleague debut with Constant Racing in Abu Dhabi. The Dutchman drives in Supercup since 2011 and also raced in several other series in the GPVWC.

Schroten drove before in the Midnight car at the in-season test at Watkins Glen, but tonight will be his first proper race.

''I'm very happy with this opportunity'' said Roy to the press. ''I want to thank Mark [Stanton] for trusting me in the seat. It came as a real surprise, but I am more than ready for it after two years sitting on the sidelines. It will be a bit of a challenge, but I am looking forward to learn and get a feeling with the Superleague car.''

Roy will finish the season at Constant, meaning he will drive at Japan and Brazil as well.
